MAC 87061 ZiS-2

The ZIS-2 is a Soviet 57mm towed anti-tank gun designed by Vasily Grabin. The gun went into production in 1941 and was able to penetrate any frontal armor of a German tank at that time. However, the sufficient parameters of the existing wz.1942 gun made the mass production of the ZIS-2 gun started in 1943, with the appearance of the Pz.Kpfw V and VI tanks on the front lines. More than 9500 pieces of this weapon were created, which served in anti-tank divisions of infantry divisions and in independent artillery regiments. After the end of hostilities, she was relatively quickly withdrawn from the Red Army.
