The Yamaha TMAX (also known as T-MAX or XP500) is a Japanese maxi-scooter that was first introduced to the public in 2001. Its serial production started at the same time and continues. It was concentrated in the cities of Iwata in Japan and Naples in Italy.

The TMAX model has been designed and implemented for production in order to complement the commercial offer of Yamaha Motor Corporation and to win the largest possible share of the city scooter market in Western Europe.
