Republic Destroyer, actually Venator -class Star Destroyer is a spaceship from the Star Wars universe. It is assumed that the Venator-class destroyers were approx. 1150 m long, approx. 550 m wide and approx. 268 m high. They were also equipped with the so-called type 1 hyperdrive. It is also quite commonly accepted that the ships of this type entered service for the first time in year 22 BBY (Before Battle of Yavin). The main producer of these units was Kuat Drive Yards and Allanteen Six Shipyards. Units of this type were designed primarily to fight other large spaceships of potential enemies. At the same time, they had considerable transport capacity and could effectively act as a carrier for space fighters. Thus, they were essentially multipurpose ships with considerable combat capabilities. You can also often find information that they were developed as successors to Acclamator support ships. It is also worth remembering that more than one unit of this type also became part of the fleet of the Galactic Empire.
