Niedługo przed II wojną światową znana francuska wytwórnia lotnicza Marcela Blocha opracowała serię dość udanych samolotów myśliwskich MB-150, MB-151 i MB-152, z których dwa ostatnie zostały wprowadzone do produkcji seryjnej. Szef zespolu konstrukcyjnego skupił się na udoskonalaniu samolotów MB-152 i zmiany zaowocowały opracowaniem samolotu MB-155, którego pierwszy prototyp z numerem No.01 został oblatany w Déols 3 grudnia 1939r. Tymczasem prototyp MB-155-01 - po kilku lotach próbnych - przebazowano do Villacoublay, gdzie dokonano kolejnych poprawek konstrukcyjnych. Przede wszystkim znowu wprowadzono zastrzały pod statecznikami poziomymi, a ponadto zmieniono stery wysokości i śmigło na 3-łopatowe firmy Bloch. Tak zmodyfikowany prototyp stał się wzorcem dla samolotów seryjnych MB-155C1, których budowę w ilości 403 sztuk zamówiono w tym samym czasie. Pierwszy egzemplarz seryjny (No.701) oblatano w Déols 3 kwietnia 1940r. Do połowy czerwca wyprodukowano dalsze dwa egzemplarze, a do 25 czerwca kolejne siedem. Część samolotów MB-155 odleciała na południe Francji, a dwa zostały całkowicie zniszczone podczas niemieckiego nalotu na fabrykę SNCASO w dniu 18 czerwca 1940r. Po wejściu w życie w dniu 25 czerwca 1940r. rozejmu pomiędzy Francją a Niemcami wojska niemieckie wycofały się poza linię demarkacyjną i wytwórnia SNCASO w Déols znalazła się w nieokupowanej części Francji. Władze niemieckie pozwoliły na budowę dalszych 19 myśliwców MB-155 (do numeru fabrycznego 729 włącznie). Wyprodukowane samoloty trafiły do jednostek myśliwskich GC I/8 na lotnisku Montpellier i GC II/8 w Marignane, gdzie do 1942r. pozostawały w czynnej służbie Armée de l'Air de l'Armistice, uzupełniając znajdujące się na wyposażeniu tych grup myśliwce MB-152. W 1942r. władze w Vichy postanowiły ujednolicić używany sprzęt lotniczy i jako standardowy myśliwiec wybrany został Dewoitine D-520. Maszyny MB-155 zmagazynowano jako rezerwę. W dniu 27 listopada 1942r. wojska niemieckie zajęły południową Francję. Lotnictwo Vichy zostało rozwiązane, a jego samoloty - w tym także nieliczne myśliwce MB-155 - przejęła na swoje potrzeby Luftwaffe. Znalazły one zastosowanie m.in. w szkołach lotniczych Luftwaffe i w jednostkach bojowych do zadań treningowych.
Shortly before World War II, the well-known French airline manufacturer Marcel Bloch developed a series of quite successful MB-150, MB-151 and MB-152 fighter planes, the last two of which were put into mass production. The head of the design team focused on improving the MB-152 aircraft and the changes resulted in the development of the MB-155 aircraft, the first prototype of which, No.01, was flown in Déols on December 3, 1939. Meanwhile, the MB-155-01 prototype - after several test flights - transported to Villacoublay, where further structural improvements were made. First of all, the brace was introduced again under the horizontal stabilizers, and the elevator and the propeller were changed to a 3-blade Bloch company. The modified prototype became the model for the MB-155C1 series aircraft, 403 of which were ordered at the same time. The first serial specimen (No. 701) was flown in Déols on April 3, 1940. A further two units were produced by mid-June and a further seven by June 25. Some MB-155 aircraft flew to the south of France, and two were completely destroyed during the German raid on the SNCASO factory on June 18, 1940. After it entered into force on June 25, 1940. the truce between France and Germany, German troops withdrew beyond the demarcation line and the SNCASO plant in Déols found itself in an unoccupied part of France. The German authorities allowed the construction of a further 19 MB-155 fighters (up to and including serial number 729). The produced planes went to the GC I / 8 fighter units at the Montpellier airport and the GC II / 8 in Marignane, where until 1942. were in active service of the Armée de l'Air de l'Armistice, supplementing the MB-152 fighters that were used by these groups. In 1942. the authorities in Vichy decided to standardize the used aviation equipment and the Dewoitine D-520 was chosen as the standard fighter. MB-155 machines were stored as a reserve. On November 27, 1942. German troops occupied southern France. Vichy aviation was disbanded and its planes - including the few MB-155 fighters - were taken over by the Luftwaffe. They have found application, among others in Luftwaffe aviation schools and in combat units for training tasks.
