Dragon 3534 M1 Panther II

The M1 Panther II is a modern American specialized anti-mine tank. At present, the US Army has probably only 6 vehicles of this type. The drive is provided by a single 1500 HP Honeywell AGT-1500 gas turbine. It is armed with a single 7.62 mm machine gun.

The M1 Panther II was created as a successor to the previous vehicle of this type used in the US Army - the M60 Panther. The M1 Panther II is based on the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. The main task of this vehicle is minefield clearing under combat conditions. For this purpose, the shape of the fuselage bathtub was changed to the letter "V" to reduce the risk of damage to the vehicle by a mine explosion, the turret was removed and a small "casemate" replaced it. An extensive anti-mine trawl was also added. The car's crew consists of two people, but it is also possible to remotely control the M1 Panther II at distances up to 700-800 meters. Vehicles of this type were used on peacekeeping missions in Bosnia and Kosovo, and during the 2003 Iraq war.
