In the years 1933-1945, the swastika became in the Western cultural circle a sign equated precisely with Nazism, but also more broadly - with evil, terror and genocide. For this reason, in many countries after 1945, its use was prohibited by law. It is worth adding that the swastika was also used to designate Finnish (in 1918-1945) and Latvian (until 1940) aircraft.
